Boxing Results: Blair Cobbs Dominates Adrien Broner

In a thrilling display of skill, welterweight Blair “The Flair” Cobbs (17-1-1, 10 KOs) completely outclassed former four division world champion Adrien ‘The Problem’ Broner (35-5-1, 24 KOs) in a dominant performance at the Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida. Cobbs asserted his dominance early, knocking Broner down in the second round and even knocking out one of his teeth. The judges scored the fight 97-91, 96-93, and 96-93, with Boxing News 24 giving it 97-91 for Cobbs.

The 34-year-old Cobbs showcased his skills by boxing beautifully, landing precise jabs to Broner’s body and controlling the pace of the fight. Despite a brief resurgence from Broner in the later rounds, his punches lacked power and failed to trouble Cobbs. With this defeat, Broner’s career seems to be in decline, having lost three of his last six fights.

In other fights on the card, Michael Hunter (22-1-2, 15 KOs) dominated Cassius Chaney (23-2, 16 KOs) en route to a unanimous decision victory, while Yuniel Dorticos (27-2, 25 KOs) scored a first-round knockout against Alan Campa (19-10, 13 KOs). Ian Green (18-2, 12 KOs) overcame early adversity to defeat Roy Barringer (10-5, 6 KOs) by unanimous decision.

Antonio Perez (10-0, 5 KOs) showcased his skill by outclassing Antonio Williams (16-1-1, 7 KOs) over ten rounds, earning a unanimous decision. Yosdiel Napoles (5-0, 5 KOs) made quick work of Wister Garcia (20-4, 13 KOs), knocking him out in the first round. Overall, it was a night of exciting fights and impressive performances.
