Venezuelan Fradimil Macayo, the current World Boxing Association (WBA) Fedelatin lightweight champion, is set to go head-to-head with the undefeated American Deonte Brown in Orlando on Saturday, June 8.
The 10-round lightweight showdown will take center stage at the Caribe Royale in Orlando, Florida, with Jonathan Gonzalez facing off against Edward Ulloa Diaz in the co-featured match.
Macayo, hailing from Carupano, Venezuela, will make his 2024 debut in the ring after securing the Fedelatin belt with a unanimous decision victory over Cuban Idalberto Umara in his last fight. Despite limited activity in recent years, Macayo boasts an impressive knockout rate of over 76% with three of his last five wins coming by way of knockout.
On the other hand, Louisiana-born Deonte Brown will make his return to the ring after a two-year hiatus, with his last fight ending in a ninth-round knockout victory over Jesus Saracho. Brown, with a perfect record of 15-0 and a knockout rate exceeding 70%, has seen all of his last five fights conclude with knockout wins.
