Joyce vs Chisora official for July 27 in London

In a recently held press conference by Queensberry Promotions’ Frank Warren, it was announced that Joe Joyce, former interim WBO heavyweight champion, will face Derek Chisora in a headline bout at London’s O2 Arena on July 27th.

It’s worth noting that Chisora chose not to attend the conference. “The Juggernaut” Joe Joyce is looking to make a statement after suffering losses to Zhang Zhilei last year. Despite a lackluster performance against Kash Ali in March, Joyce is determined to show he is still a formidable opponent. However, at 38 years old and with questions about his durability, his chances of winning a title after the Usyk vs Fury fight seem unlikely.

On the other hand, Derek Chisora, also known as “Del Boy,” has had a rough patch in his career, losing four of his last six fights. While he managed to secure wins against Kubrat Pulev and Gerald Washington, doubts remain about his ability to defeat Joe Joyce.

The undercard features a rematch between British super bantamweight champ Dennis McCann and Romanian boxer Ionut Baluta. Baluta, known for causing upsets, fought McCann to a draw last August. Additionally, Aadam Hamed, son of boxing legend Naseem Hamed, will also be showcasing his skills in the ring.

Overall, the event promises to be an exciting showcase of talent and a chance for both fighters to prove themselves in the heavyweight division.
